Mira Update

Mira is growing by leaps and bounds. She now weighs 25 pounds and has 16 teeth. Her first set of molars came in the last time James was in China. I noticed she drooled and pooped a lot but sometimes ignorance is bliss. By the time I realized she was cutting them, the hard part was over. If she keeps cutting teeth at the same rate, we will be having her wisdom teeth cut out sometime this summer!

What are some of the cute things she has done lately? Too many to name them all but here are a few:

She does the Hokey Pokey with her Hokey Pokey Elmo (too cute)
She is feeding herself...but she is so proud that she claps with food on her spoon and she slings food everywhere.
She climbed out of her crib for the first time Saturday April 1st. I will always remember that because my heart stopped beating for the first time.
She laughs out loud when she farts. (I know MOM, its not ladylike)!
Her daddy asks her where her fat belly is and she pats her belly and laughs.
The first thing she does when you put her in the bathtub is look down and pee!
She carries her potty seat in Adam's room and just sits there until he gets mad and drags it back to her room, at which time she drags it back and the cycle begins again!
She tries to grab my parents photo every chance she gets and walks around saying, "Pap, Pap, Pap.... She has said Mimi a couple of times but Pap has a really cool tractor...

I could probably think of thousands of other things she does but that will have to wait. Just know that she is a complete and utter joy and even though I am glad she is sleeping at this moment, I can't wait until she wakes up!

Hey, you cut off Adam's head! Mira loves her brother Adam - she loves to mess up his room, tear up his toys, steal his food, and she loves to drag her potty chair into his room just to see him get mad! But deep down, she just loves him. (Deep, deep, deep down) 

Is it night night time already? I haven't made that much of a mess yet, I promise! Is that face not the most beautiful thing you have ever seen? 

Anyone for a nap? 

Kayla says, "Get back in that box! Before you came along, I was the BIG CHEESE!" 

Mira loves Kayla so much that she will allow her to drag her all over the house in a suitcase. Actually, that does look like fun! 

Mira says, "I love my Aunt Kim but if something is broken in this room, SHE did it!" 

"What is that Raggedy Ann?" "I love you too!" 

Mira loves Raggedy Ann! Mommy wasn't quick enough to get a pic of the kiss that preceded this one. 

Mommy and Mira go "night night." 

Will this fit in my purse or do I need something smaller? Mira loves to carry her purse around and pretend to shop. Next thing ya know, she will want credit cards!!!! 

Mira loves her rocking chair. She loves to sit in it with a book and pretend to read. Who knows? She might actually be reading! Did I say she was brilliant yet? 

Yes, my brilliant baby LOVES books! Right now, they are her favorite toys. I have to pack my car with about 10 books everyday for her to read on the way to daycare. This particular book we are reading in this pic used to be a popup book - notice I said used to be. Mira tore the popups out the first day she got them. 

Two peas in a pod!!! 

Yes, Mira still makes the face!!! 

Mira and Kayla had tremendous amounts of fun after her party with the balloons. The balloons only stayed for about 2 months!!! 

Note to our friends we made in China

Normally, I use this blog to write about Mira or tell you about something going on in her life. I just wanted to take a minute to write a note to John, Dawn, and Sophiaaaaaaaaaa! We miss you guys very much and would love to hear from you. We have tried finding you through various ways and are having a hard time. James and I got your message on the blog. We would love to talk to you and catch up. Please please email us. Our home email address is foglesx5@earthlink.net. We have wanted to catch up with you guys for a very long time but as I am sure you realize, our lives have been very filled up lately. We love and miss you so email already!!!!! This is Mira's famous face! She loves scrunching her nose at people. It is absolutely the cutest thing ever (and she knows it)! 

Mira loves this rocking chair and will fight you for it. She loves grabbing one of her books, which are her favorite toys, and sitting in it and acting like she is reading. I knew she was brilliant! 

Isn't she beautiful? I love this picture, not just because of the Tarheel outfit but she looks so precious! 

Mommy gets to hold two babies! Mira got pretty jealous when I was holding Hannah so I ended up holding them both - quite a handful! 

Christmas with the family........... 

Let the games begin! Mira had no problems digging her hands and face into her own special cake. I think she had it in her ears and up her nose and all over her face by the time my mom finally couldn't take it anymore and took the cake away. Mira was not too happy about that! 

Mira is saying, "Bring on my CAKE!" 

Mira is being held by her Aunt and Godmother, Miriam (namesake). Notice that she still hasn't forgotten about that thumb! 

Mira and cousin Hannah don't get to see each other often but when they do, they really hit it off. Hannah is as tough as Mira, thank goodness because Mira is a brute!
