This blog was created to help keep me sane while I await the adoption of my daughter, Mira Lin. I also hope family and friends will come check the progress of our family!

I am probably the only person over here thats awake at 3:00am EST, I guess it is 3pm there but I figured since I am staying up I should write something. I am glad to hear that all is going well in China. I hope that things continue that way and hope you feel better Leslie. Thanks for putting the pics on here, she looks great (you guys look ok too I guess). Hope to see you guys soon. Fly safely and God bless.

This picture is the best one yet! Everybody at work knows when there are new pictures because I'm standing at my computer appearing to work and I say something like OHHH, she's so cute or I cry or something like that. I just can't wait to see her in person. Leslie, I'm sorry that you are sick and if you need me to come over when you get home and take care of Mira,I will...haha. Guess you won't want to go out for Chinese anytime soon. Danny and I told you we weren't going to go see you on your first day back because we wanted you to be able to rest, but now I might have to reconsider since who holds her first is up for grabs:) Anyway, have a safe flight. Oh my gosh, what a beautiful baby girl! She is a doll! What an exciting way to become parents! Yes, James, as an adoptive mother myself, I can't imagine giving birth being anymore exciting. Aren't we fortunate that God makes families in so many wonderful ways? Love and best wishes to you all. Can't wait to see Mira Lin in person.

PS Leslie I have been sharing all the pictures with Kiante, Jaleesa, Ashton, Donald and Jonathon. They love her. Kiante says she has a "mohawk." Leave it to him to come up with something like that.

I can't wait to see my niece tonight!! Leslie, you have to be well when you get home. James is so good to take care of you. Mira Lin is beautiful and what a happy baby! It is a beautiful day in Hickory and it will be brighter when you guys get home safe! I love you! Kim
